period 3
1931 - 1960
IntroductionWhen this time period first starts, America is facing the hardships with the great depression and not prepared for the next eight years of it they will have to deal with. While the depression was occuring, the mind set of the roaring twenties came to an end and women weren't able to live this luxorious lifestyle much anymore. In thr 40's, Hitler rose to power in Germany and the second world war started. Women not only had to take a hold of the homefront and work hard while the men were fighting in other countries, but there were also women's air forces that fought abroad. In the 1950's however, it seemed that it was the American woman's job to just be a good housewife and mother, Ameirca was celebrating their victory from world war II during this time and it was an exciting decade. But once the 60's arrived it was an even more crazy time.
